While Sonya couldn't quit stomach all the free food at the party, she could think of someone that wouldn't have a problem scarfing it down.

Somehow, she'd found some paper bags near one of the plates, possibly for people wanting a 'private' celebration, but it was just fine for what she was doing. Filling a bag with fries, two cheese burgers,  a couple of milky ways, and two cans of coca cola, she took off for Peter's house, thankful for the torches along the path. She still wore the dress and mask from the party, but she loosened her hair into a pony tale and her mask was resting on her forehead, walking was easy since she'd gone to the party where white keds instead of dress shoes.

She made it over to the tree house, knocking on the door frame. "Peter..it's Sonya. I have food from the party." If any real mother knew what she had they would've thrown a shit fit, but Sonya figured it was just one night so any complainers could go screw themselves.

A boy's sense is perhaps never so acute as when he can tell there is fun out there that he isn't having. There was a party out there in the Compound, one of the best sort, where lots of drinks and foods that never stick around until morning.

He was lying on the floor tossing a rubber ball toward the ceiling when the knock came. The girls were both asleep, but Walt perked up and trotted toward the door. Peter followed, still with some difficulty, but opened the door a few moments later.

He got it open and Sonya was there.

"Oh, hi. I thought everyone was at the party."

She held up the bag, the items wrapped in either paper or foil but the smell was still there.

"I was, but I left early." She could only be social for so long. "Didn't see you there so I'd figure I get you some dinner."

Sonya tried to see him through the crack in the door. "How ya feeling?"

Peter eyed the bag curiously, but it smelled very good.

"It was too far to walk," he said in a long-suffering voice but then held the door open for her. He looked better than he had a week ago, on his feet and with a t-shirt covering up the bandages, but there was a strain lingering under his eyes. "I could have, but then I would have stayed a long time before I could walk back and then-" Peter cut himself off with a shrug. "It's really far."

"Was it lots of fun?"

"You don't need to explain, I would've probably thought and done the same if I was you."

She stepped through the doorway and walked inside.

"It was alright. I'm not really into such gatherings, only went to prove that I could-and because of the food of course." She smiled a little, setting the bag on the table and pulling out some napkins before taking out the cans of cola and food.

It was a comfortable sort of place that felt thoroughly like a home, even if it did tend a bit toward messy and boy-ish, lately. Such is what happens when the only girls that are living in a place cannot even tie their own shoes. "They even had the food that just appears," Peter asked wistfully as he settled down at the little table.

"That's where Neil went, and maybe the rest of them too. I'm babysitting."

The place was actually cleaner than Rogue's side of the room, so Sonya couldn't complain.

"I gathered that's what usually happens, food appearing when there's a 'partying' sort of holiday?"

She said nothing about the 'babysitting comment', if he wanted to expand on the topic he was more than welcome to.

Sonya settled down at the table, pulling out the burgers, fries and candy bars. "I wasn't sure how hungry you'd be."

He nodded and sat down with her. "Yeah, they get all sorts of things that just show up. I like those parties-" Peter heaved a sigh and then grumbled. "Can't believe I'm missing it. Was there lots of fun and stuff?"

But he grabbed one of the hamburgers and took a bite before saying in a muffled voice. "Thank you."

"I guess there was lots of fun. I introduced a queen of France to coca cola, she didn't care for it that much."

She took a can for herself, opening the tab.

"You're welcome."

Sonya looked around. "I always hated hospital stays. How've you been keeping yourself occupied?"

ooc: sorry for the lag

He nodded. "Queen's faces go on the money," Peter said that made it clear it was all he thought particularly important about royalty. It wouldn't be a bad thing, having your face on the money. Peter rather liked the idea.

"I still have to do homework." It is one of the great injustices about school and, indeed, the universe at large. The world does not stop just because you can't play in it for a while. "And Neil has these big video games," he pointed to the large tv and accompanying electronics. "And playing with Wednesday. And my sisters."

"In American, it's the faces of those who founded our country."

For some reason, eating a burger and fries was easier in a less crowded room.

She did smirk when he mentioned homework. "Oh suck it up. You think that back home I enjoy doing paperwork? Being a soldier isn't just missions, they have you do a lot of paperwork too." Because that's the government for you, everything in small print.

Sonya turned towards the large tv. "Least you have something besides homework."

Peter took a rather massive bite of his cheeseburger before nodding. In a display of surprising manners, he even swallowed before starting to speak. "Uh huh, it's okay. I didn't like it at first, because it's not real but not pretend either, but..." He shrugged. "It gets better."

Sonya got up and looked over the sorts of video games.

"God, I feel old. When I was a teen, video games were nowhere as clear and detailed as these." She picked up a game titled Resident Evil 4. "The guys at the base would've loved this."

She said this with a little sadness, after all what was the team but a big gang of brothers.

"That one you get to shoot dead people," Peter offered. "There were dead people on the island one day. I had to stab one of their arms into the ground so it would stop attacking people."

Then, remembering excitedly, he leapt to his feet still holding the remainder of his burger. "Do you want to meet Wednesday?"

Sonya frowned, torn between jealousy and apprehension: jealous that she wasn't on the island that day and apprehensive because there were people on the island that couldn't fight back in such an event.

"The girl or the rabbit? I'd be more interested in meeting the human Wednesday." Sonya was interested in seeing just what this girl was like, if the decor of her home meant anything.

He smiled. It was always nice when someone remembers that Wednesday is both a solemn girl and a very grumpy rabbit. "The rabbit." If Wednesday the girl were here, she'd have doubtlessly already made herself known. "Wednesday's probably at the party. Hold on."

For a few moments, he was gone, darting into the back bedrooms before coming out with a tiny, fluffy, grumpy bunny cupped in his hands. "Wednesday, this is Sonya Blade."
