Sonya tried to laugh in response: the urge was there, but either stress or mental and physical exhaustion didn't allow it.
"I could make hot tea as well. Actually have a proper tea pot now." Courtesy of her growing skill at the pottery wheel. "But it's as you said..too damn hot for it."
She managed to catch Dani in time just as the girl was about to throw a block at her sister. Just moments before, Joey landed a block on their 'tower' that made the whole thing fall-somehow or another her sister translated this as a sort of battle cry.
"No..Dani..we don't throw things at others." Least not without their knowledge.
Christ, if she wasn't careful her girls were going to grow up with a ton of mixed messages.
Sonya carried both girls up the stairs, leading Helen inside. Her hut was made up of one main room that served as both living and dining room, as well as bedroom (however the bed was turned aside to make even more room), with. To the side was the girls' room, and opposite to that was a smaller room Sonya used as a study and still-room. The rest of the furniture was japanese inspired: handmade mats on the floor and the tables being more low set than what was common. The exception being table and cupboard next to a small fidge.
