Re: dun dun dun

Shang's expression went from mild amusement to almost a degree of shock at Sonya's challenge.

"Are you mad?" She must have been. "This is no tournament, and you can barely stand. What makes you think you've a right to challenge me."

Sonya nearly laughed. She could stand (albeit shakely) and so she could fight.

"So what's the problem then." She said, her tone biting. "Just one battle against a woman in this state-should be an easy win for you."

He frowned: it was a matter of pride that he accept this fight, as well as to teach Sonya a lesson. "You bring this one yourself, Sonya Blade."

She wasn't listening, part of her was hating herself for her rashness. This would be just like the tournament: her team being held hostage, her winning would mean the difference between their lives or their deaths.

Sonya shut the voice up and took a stance. She wouldn't think that: it was true, this wasn't the tournament, but she needed the distraction and if this could get the job done-so be it.
